He is always wrestling in his prayers on your behalf, so that you may stand mature and fully assured in everything that God wills. Colossian 4:12
Jacob was left alone; and a man wrestled with him until daybreak. When the man saw that he did not prevail against Jacob, he struck him on the hip socket; and Jacob’s hip was put out of joint as he wrestled with him. Then he said, ‘Let me go, for the day is breaking.’ But Jacob said, ‘I will not let you go, unless you bless me.’ So he said to him, ‘What is your name?’ And he said, ‘Jacob.’ Then the man, said, ‘You shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel, for you have striven with God and with humans, with divine and human beings' and have prevailed.’ Then Jacob asked him, ‘Please tell me your name.’ But he said, ‘Why is it that you ask my name?’ And there he blessed him. Genesis 32: 24-29
And rising very early, going out, he went into a desert place: and there he prayed. Mark 1:35
And he retired into the desert, and prayed. Luke 5:16
And there appeared to him an angel from heaven, strengthening him. And being in an agony, he prayed the longer. Luke 22:43
Elias was a man passible like unto us: and with prayer he prayed that it might not rain upon the earth, and it rained not for three years and six months. And he prayed again: and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.
James 5:17 - 18
And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and he passed the whole night in the prayer of God. Luke 6:12
We must wrestle with God for souls. We must plead with Him to save them, to have mercy on them. To give them the grace they need to be saved. Without Grace we are all lost and we need it so much. We must ask God for it. We must beg Him for it. Please pour down Your grace upon us. Send the Holy Spirit. Fill us with Your Spirit.
